How you pay in decides how you get paid out. UK casinos normally return withdrawals to the method you deposited with, so choosing the right one at the start saves time later.
Debit cards
Visa and Mastercard debit cards are accepted everywhere on our list. Deposits are instant. Withdrawals are processed by the casino and then passed to your bank, which can add one to three working days, although some operators now use fast card payouts that arrive within hours. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since April 2020, and that includes credit cards loaded into e-wallets.
PayPal and other e-wallets
PayPal is offered by most of our eight casinos and is usually the quickest way to receive a withdrawal once the casino has approved it. Skrill and Neteller are also available at some sites, but check the fees: PlayOJO, for example, charges on these two. Some welcome offers exclude e-wallet deposits, so read the offer terms before choosing one.
Apple Pay
Apple Pay uses the debit card stored on your phone, so it is quick to deposit with and keeps your card number off the casino site. Withdrawals typically go back to the underlying card.
Bank transfer and open banking
Instant bank transfers through open banking, sometimes branded as Trustly or similar, move money directly from your bank account after you approve the payment in your banking app. They are handy for larger amounts and some casinos pay out this way within minutes.
Prepaid vouchers
Paysafecard lets you deposit with a voucher bought in a shop, which helps if you want to keep gambling money separate. It is deposit-only, so you will need a bank account or other method to withdraw.
Why withdrawals take longer than deposits
A UK-licensed casino must confirm your age and identity, and must check that the money you gamble comes from legitimate sources. Your first withdrawal may therefore be held until you have uploaded proof of identity or address. Most sites also have a short pending period. If a withdrawal is delayed beyond the stated time, contact support first and then use the casino's complaints process and independent ADR provider.
